Dubrovnik City Walls

Dubrovnik City Walls are.....

....a heart of Dubrovnik and are absolutely breathtaking.....
When you decide to travel somewhere it is important to make a must-see list. We all make lists of
sights to visit, food to taste, entertainment and so on. The Walls of Dubrovnik are definitely one of
the sights on your list when visiting Dubrovnik. Instaboats wants to tell you more about their
importance and beauties......
The town of Dubrovnik is known as the Pearl of the Adiatic, while the City Walls stand as the proud
protector of this unique cultural heritage as well as its component.
Together with the town they were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. We in
Instaboats are very proud of this pearl that we consider ours.
Looking back in the past , the walls preserved and protected the town in wars and foreign attacks
over the town and the Dubrovnik Republic.
Unfortunately, in the 1990's during the Home War they were bombarded. Immediately after the war
they were restored so that today, we can admire these medieval, breathtaking City Walls.
Like the global population, the Instaboats team is also fond of the planetary popular serial “Game of
Thrones“. It's hard to find those who don't know that this television serial was filmed on these
impressive Walls as well as in the Old Town. That's why , a great number of visitors are “ Game of
Thrones“ fans and they can hardly wait to walk along these marvellous locations. In order to explore
these medieval stone walls , you have to walk across the Old Town which is splendid, because of so
many things to see that we proudly present to our visitors. The adventure begins....
The walk starts in one corner of the walls and the magic is created. The scenes that you see are
amazing, almost unreal. On one side, you have a view over the town which has been building its
heritage for centuries and on various building styles perfectly embedded together. On the other side,
there is a view over the crystally clear sea offering many exploring possibilities that The Instaboats
team will gladly help you with.
The stroll around the City Walls may last up to 2 hours, so we suggest taking your cameras and
charging your mobile phones as you'll surely want to catch these sights and keep them as a memory
of this special adventure.
The Instaboats team is at your disposal in case you have any questions related to this theme or if you
need any suggestions.
